Grabbed one today in-store. Already marked as "blems." Not that I can find a mark on it.

I like the bolt hold open design. Interesting I hope it holds up long term though. The mag well seems a little finicky due to it however

Damn they have them in stock in store and they have blems already?! Iíve ďplacedĒ my order on two occasions for an AKV, but they literally rejected both transactions because they sold out while I was typing in FFL/CC info. Also How much did you pay for the blem?

Have been throwing my money at PSA, but I literally canít get one!

Yeah, this sux. I'm at work every time they post them in stock and can't even try to purchase one.

I wish they would set up a back order and fill them as placed.

$679 for the MOE. So, with tax, it ends up about the same as the web price. I've been saving random gift cards and stuff, so I ended up $667 out of pocket.

They had guns in-stock in Summerville, but no mags.

Nice score, and to be fair PSA initially said the gun was coming with 3 mags. The fact that you canít even get a second one is crap. My first order was thrown out because the extra mag I wanted sold out mid transaction. Retried with just the gun, placed order, nope out of stock. This all happened BEFORE my Back in stock notification was emailed to me along with the daily deal blast email. I received 3 emails from PSA about that gun within 30 minutes of release and couldnít even get one. Hoping Monday is the day.

I knew this is how it was going to go down. There was a lot of people who wanted an AKX-9 from definitive and never got one. I got the MOE plus 3 extra mags the first day. I like the hold open integration they have.

Something tells me they've put the brakes on them.

Maybe they're building up a decent amount of them so they don't sell out in a matter of seconds.

Or maybe they are trying to figure out what's up with that 1 star rating they have about extraction issues.

Hopefully just a fluke. I saw that same guy complain on the Millitary Arms Channel Instagram page about that issue. Palmetto responded to him saying they had not experienced that issue themselves, but reiterated that their guns come with a lifetime warranty and they would be glad to pay for shipping to get it to them.

Luckily they are local to me. I picked up a 'blem' MOE labeled one. Can't find a defect on it. Summerville store had a few on hand. $725 OTD all said and done. So if there ends up being an issue I at least won't have to ship it out, lol.

Hoping they either get CZ mags in stock or relist the 35rd'ers.

I've only hand cycled the entire 35rd magazine and had no issues. Obviously that's different than live fire. But it was consistently putting out in the same area.

Looking forward to range time with. They gave me a free hour but haven't had a chance to make it back up there.

Probably so, when you're dealing with mass production, things like this happen.

Extractor issues are typically an easy fix. Sounds like this one in particular might be too much spring tension.

There's 20-round CZ mags over in the aisle with all the pistol mags. $18.99, plastic feed lips.

Anyone else getting emails saying, ďWeíve got what you need!Ē, It was the AKV and it said buy now. I immediately click buy now and it says Out of Stock still.

Probably the 5th email telling me to buy the AKV now and Iím trying, but itís been out of stock every time I check (every hour).

Just ran 200 round through mine, the mags are misfeed city.

Ran 4 PSA mags, each one I had to take out multiple times as the follower was sticking then popping up and feeding the rounds vertically when it did.

Ran two of them afterwards and consecutively had no failures to feed.

Was having a further issue with the round not being grabbed by the extractor, pull the trigger, click. Look in, a round half way in the chamber, drop mag, rack it, reinsert mag and g2g. I'm thinking the spring isn't strong enough? Had this issue repeatedly anytime o used the bolt hold open feature.

I think it's two things, mags are plastic on plastic. Burring plus friction plus fouling is causing follower to jam up. Breaking them in plus a little bit of oil will most likely fix.

For the rounds not seating properly I could be either mag related or not. Like I said after the initial 4 mags of issues I ran them back flawlessly afterwards. I'll try to make it back prior to the new years and report what I find.

My guess is still the same, they are probably trying to figure out the manufacturing issue before releasing more for sale. Smart move in my opinion. While they have en excellent customer service record, I can imagine they want to avoid the headache of multiple warranty returns.

Like you, I'm looking at this as an alternative to the Kalashnikov USA offering. There's no way I would buy a NAK 9.

The NAK 9 is ugly stock, like the Chiappa. It just needs furniture, a brace and a krebs safety lever, all things the AKV has stock. Even with the Nak at sub $600 now the AKV is still a heck of a deal.

Heard someone fixed the extractor issues with an XP spring. Maybe they are making these changes too. We shall see.

well hopefully PSA is better about handling RMA requests via the form than they are about picking up the phone because about an hour on hold overt the last week is enough of my time for the time being.

We recently released the Palmetto State Armory AK-V, our 9MM AK modeled after the Vityaz design formerly employed by Russian Special Forces. Following the first run of consumer models of the AK-V we’ve found a that there were a few issues on a limited number of the first run. These issues were detailed in a series of videos by Military Arms Channel. We are grateful to Tim and the entire team at Military Arms Channel for bringing the issue to our attention. In consultation with our engineers and our supply chain we have identified and remedied the issues. Due to SHOT Show and the holiday season we’ve been delayed in implementing our changes as quickly as we’d like. We have new AKVs heading to production very soon, and we have invited the crew from Military Arms Channel to join us in Columbia to talk about the AK-V, see the changes we’ve made and test it out on video to share the results. We are also excited to share our plans for the PSAK-74 with Tim and the crew from Military Arms Channel and get their feedback. All Palmetto State Armory products carry an Unlimited Lifetime Warranty. If you’re experiencing any issues with your AK-V, we invite you to contact us so that we can make it right at no charge to you. Our mission is to create affordable and reliable firearms for the American public as we work to maximize freedom with rifles and parts that are American Made. For Life.
