Default Izhmash Tigre suppressed

I have been messing around with the mill and the lathe latly.

I have come up with an attachement system for my Tiger in 7.62x54 , that clamp on the front post and the muzzle brake.
Front post and muzzle brake being made of one part on my model.

Since the parts are not a 100% concentric, I had to made a custom suppressor out of titanium with oversized baffles.

Don't call the ATF, I'm an armorer in Europe with manufacturing licences.

The system :

Without suppressor :

That's an interesting design. Have you seen any changes in barrel harmonics, like POI shifts?

It shoots a little lower with the suppressor on.
Most of the firearms tend to have this type of POI shift

Very nice, cheers!

How would you rate the DB reduction of your suppressor? Hearing safe do you think?

Also how much did it increase the gas and brass ejection distance?

To suppress my Tiger I went with a custom FSB made by a machinist here in the US, and used a Dead Air Wolverine (which also has larger baffles)

I really like the PBS look of your suppressor.

On the tiger it's not earing safe. Oversized baffles + sounds coming out of the gas block make the task hard.

There is more gas for sure and the shell extraction clear the shooting range on my right side.
I need an adjustable gas system like on the military version.

Hmmm, interesting. I kind of figured with oversize baffles it wouldn't be hearing safe but you never know til you ask. The Wolverine is not hearing safe either but it does a good job of taking the edge off

The increased ejection distance is what I expected also, but for whatever reason on the Wolverine the ejection pattern on my Tiger is the same. In fact my NDM86 ejects farther unsuppressed than the Tiger does suppressed

I like your mounting system too. That is a really cool setup you have

so Chris, whats the point of buying the tax stamp, buying a can if you cannot shoot it hearing -safe?

just curious. Merry Xmas by the way.

It's 'safe enough' for me to shoot while hunting

Takes the edge off outdoors and you don't notice it. Naturally I don't recommend it long term, but while hunting you don't fire all that many rounds in a given night

If I were going to blast hordes of hogs I would wear ear pro for sure but one or two is no biggie for me

Merry Christmas to you too brother

If you find yourself in Muscat go visit the Sultan’s Armed Forces Museum they’ve got quite an interesting collection of weapons there.
