Isn't it pretty self-explanitory? Rimmed round, the little grooves must be for something(sarcasm) For the rim? noo, haha. I love to watch people try to slide rounds in from the front, taking 3 mins to load one mag.

That's cruel! Lot's of folks don't know why that slot is there - though...

Ya, you are right. Whats even worse is people who buy the PSL and don't know what corrosive ammo is; then diss the PSL beacause its always rusting up.

Shoot I didn't know about the loading slot until I read a piece by Fortier.
I really felt kinda' embarrassed. But the slots in my mags are much longer than the ones pictured. They work.

Yep, they don't include that little bit of info with the owners manual you get with every kit.

I'm seriously questioning how anyone could load a PSL magazine and NOT know why they are there.

It's pretty self fucking explanatory.

That's interesting. Really helps to load mag faster.
Though, it seems that Dragunov mag does not have this.

Not everyone is as perfect as you...or as RUDE. You really need to back it down a notch or three.

i just started the thread more as a curiosity, but im glad we could share some knowledge. some times we get so wrapped up in the more complicated aspects of a subject, that we overlook the simple ones.

I missed the part where I directed any statement towards you, or anyone for that matter quantifying my post as "rudeness". It was just a statement. Never mind, I think I know why your panties are all in a bunch... You wouldn't happen to work for Marble Falls PD would you?

Wow...a troglodyte that reads. Your crack whore mom and her alleyway sperm donor must be so proud. I thought a forum as busy as this with such a specific topic base would stay on track and flush once in a while. Guess I'll look elsewhere for intelligent conversation.

Speaking of Bren mags...
Has anyone rigged a "Com-bloc BAR" type rifle from Bren mags, Iron wood furniture and a PSL?

Closest one I have seen was a 8mm one using mg13 mags he used a rpk parts kit and a m76 barrel.

Honestly I didn't know the Magazines were designed that way. I just thought the quality was so bad on the magaizes that I could slip the rim area through there on a some of my magazines in that area. I can only slip the cases through on 4 out of 6 of my magaiznes. BTW the cutout's in my mag's don't even look as clean cut as the one in the pictures on here. Of coarse the two mag's I can not slip the rims through do not feed reliably either.

If you can't get a rim through the gap, and the mag doesn't feed reliably. Perhaps the feed lips are too close together?

The lips can never be to tight, or close together.
