What would you all value a nib unconverted (sporter) Saiga 762 at if you could buy it today?

$750 WTF , He's not in Cali, everybody's waiting on the end of the Sanctions. People are trying to sell Saigas now , in case the price drops. I'd wait...

when do you think the sanctions against China will be lifted?? just curious. The 750 is a little high I admit but I didn't want to lowball him too much either so I went high considering some will pay that just because its from Russia.. Nothing wrong with getting as much as you can if there are idiots willing to pay it IMO..

$600-650
I could see $700 if you just felt you had to have one since they are not imported at this time. I wouldnt bet on them coming anytime soon, and even if they do it would most likely take at least a year to get them flowing. Even before the ban they had crept up in price to around $500 unconverted. |

Even if the sanctions end tomorrow, it would likely take at least a year to get some Saigas back in the hands of vendors, and I am sure the Russians know the demand for their products are sky high. No reason to think they will be more affordable then the last time they where around. Most vendors where doing the conversions and marking up the Saigas anyways, so finding unconverted ones was getting increasingly difficult. If you see something you want and can justify the price just get it and be done with it.

[QUOTE=GoNoGo;3834665]I could see paying a tad more for the Sporterized Saiga if it had the combination of the more preferred variety.. the non-WASR receiver (magwell dimples), the non-sandpaper logo receiver, had STEEL pins holding the RSB, GB and FSB and had the Izhmash logo on the front trunnion.
It has all of the above. Completely original 16 inch saiga 762 sporter. I appreciate everyone's feedback and opinions. It is a guy that is local to me who is selling it for $600. Sounds like his price is fair. Thanks, Eric. |

Even as of June 2016 there were vendors I knew selling IZ-132s for $450, and IZ-132Ls for $550
Maybe $500-$600 now based on costs of parts to convert plus labor involved. Anyone who pays more is being foolish..... Even if Trump lifted the ban tomorrow, I would estimate at least 1 year til the market sees them. I personally see the sanctions being rescinded, based on our new Sec of States business ties with Russia Everything happening in our Govt is pointing to a favorable position, as it should. Gotta stop letting the propaganda to restart the Cold War enemy gain traction for the M.I.C. contract boogeyman With that said, by far by personal favorite manufacturer. You cant ignore the Arsenal SLR107 for $850 and expect more then $600 with the strong relationship building

We cannot use a product (in this case Saigas) popping up here and there every 12 months in small bundles as the going rate. When something is available by multiple retailers for months on end we can determine a more realistic market price. Holding out for at least a year to potentially save $50-100 dollars makes little sense if you desire the Saiga. The sanctions might not be lifted and the after market prices will keep rising. |

however, most people just want a functional Combloc reputable rifle. As much of a fan I am of Izhmash, I would never tell someone to buy a $1400 SGL or $800 IZ-132 over an $850 Arsenal, or VEPR is my point Ya have to look at what you're getting for your money, regardless of who makes it.....it's a tool at the end of the day. The market gooney goo gop is still market gooney goo goo jacking up prices over perception. IZ-132's are not worth $800+ dollars in todays market to knowledgeable buyers.

1. Good luck finding many unconverted SAIGA's brand new now. 2. You have to factor in the cost of parts to convert, and labor...... That price is about what SAIGA's went for mid 2013 during the Sandy Hook debacle. I remember, because that's what I paid for another one when I wanted it. So that would reasonably put a non-Converted new IZ-132 in the $600 realm,

Well I find myself following ACES twice today and agreeing w him again.
I picked up a fairly well done rear converted Saiga 7.62x39 for around $700 during the "Great Gun Boom" (2015 I think) and felt like I paid a fair price at that time. Except for the lightest of tasks I generally am NOT a DIY guy mainly because I am a perfectionist and am not yet able/WILLING to do that great of a job.

FWIW here's a few on Armslist available right now. I would buy either one, if I was looking for more.
$800 fully converted IZ-132L http://www.armslist.com/posts/646260...-sell-asap---- ![]() $700 IZ-132L not fully converted. http://www.armslist.com/posts/631209...iaga-7-62-ak47 ![]()

I bought my IZ132L in September 2015 for $518 from Kentucky Gun Co. Sanctions were already in place and I couldn't believe the price. Wasted no time placing my order.

Atlantic had them for $420 (I forget when). Was a good shooter, but did a lot of time in the safe. Just recently did a rear conversion on it. Took my time, and it came out pretty good. Initially put on a Tapco T6 stock and handguard on it, because the handguard was so tight, I was afraid the barrel would melt the plastic.(I didn't know any better, at the time.) So now it wears the proper handguard/gas tube furniture, and an M4-style collapsible stock. Still shoots good. I doubt I'll spend the $$ for a front end conversion.

I was not fortunate enough to locate any of those stores near me. Those were literally the best deals of all recent history on Izhmash rifles. It's probably a good thing, because I would have bought the pallets at every store and become a licensed dealer at that point.

Glad I got mine for $299 at Classic. Yeah, it has the velcro patch but also has all the desired features as well(non-stepped chamber, mag-well dimples, threaded barrel).

If so, congratulations, because you got THE best and original AK manufacturer. The price you paid is pretty fair IMO based on where prices could be on these, and their quality. Were you planning on doing the conversion yourself ?? Know where to get the parts cheap ??
