Galil Kit and ORK receiver?

I've had a SA Galil kit and ORF receiver now for several years and just haven't had the interest in putting it together. Has anyone assembled one with the ORF receiver and have any inputs for me? It came with a USA virgin barrel. Finding a bullet guide rivet is another problem, I just remembered, about not haveing one. Thanks

Use the search, Luke.

For example, in the sticky thread immediately above the one you just started...

ORF receivers

But, actually, your thread title asking about ORK receivers might be more appropriately stated...

Give me about a year to get around to it, but I may have come up with a way to build good functioning, lasting rifles out of the ORK stuff you speak of.

The biggest issue is lug set-back. The receiver I have the lugs are .037 out of "spec". My spec is defined from measuring the lug differentiation between a number of Galil bolts and then measuring the receiver.

Not as extensive as I would like, but IMI galil receivers are hard to come by and for some reason Galil owners don't like the idea of me tearing their rifles apart
