Default Stribog SP9A1

So I got sick of waiting around for the CZ Scorpion Micro and just canít drop coin on a B&T (I want both of these later in life) so Iím going for a Stribog instead as my first 9mm PCC/sub gun fun gun. Iíll be ordering tomorrow. After extensive research I decided it was a good route to go as itís very popular in PCC competition shooting in Europe. Gun costs less than $685 shipped before getting a brace.

If you have one, input would be appreciated!

Upfront, big concerns I have are:
-Proprietary mags, however are available in 10, 20 and 30 rounders
-reciprocating charging handle, however they are importing the non reciprocating assembly
-giant billboard of a name on the side of the gun
-Grand Power seems like a weird ass name for a company
-they may import the Stribog SP9A3, which is a roller delayed model and has less felt recoil than the gas blowback SP9A1

Other than that, I want a subgun looking 9mm and am taking the plunge. Iíll let you guys know how it goes for me. Hereís some media on the Stribog that convinced me to go this route:

This one is what I really was happy to see, lots of aftermarket support is coming

That's a cool gun, but I'd personally wait for the A2 version if I was going to get one. They are quite hard to get, but the Extar EP9 is awesome. They're cheap, $419 with a brace, use common Glock mags, are super light, and mine has been 100% reliable after 750 or so rounds.

Mine has been modified just a bit:

Ordering shortly, will do! Iíll keep this as an AK Files Ďexperienceí thread where you can follow along on my journey, Iíll post pictures, accessories input on, etc

Only other reviews I have seen have been on ARFCOM and European reviews, almost all are good

Good news is Iíll be getting it with gift money so if I get a blem, no damage done to myself

Awesome. Honestly I don’t know much about this. When I think PCC, this is not even on my list. Hope it all goes good for you!

Thanks man, Iíll keep everybody posted on it, Iím hoping this is another solid option in this market, right now itís more affordable than a Scorpion, this is flying under the radar which I think is crazy

Iíll be getting an arm brace adapter and SBA3 brace
Brace adapter is $50
30 round standard capacity magazines start at $19
Gun itself cost me $679 shipped from TSS Warehouse, great guys to work with

Is this PCC class legal? Seeing as how it's a pistol, I'd doubt it. Anyone know?

I looked up rules and as part of USPSA it would not be, but could for bush leagues locally

Not too bummed about that as this is my entry gun into the market, critter gun and depending on how much I like it, possibly HD, for sure itís going to be a plinker

It has arrived!

Initial impressions:
-Extremely Solid Gun, VERY well built, feels beefy
-the handling is very comfortable which was actually surprising to me as at a glance doesnít Look like it, the handgrip on the magwell is obviously built for being hand held as it was very comfy
-VERY smooth action
-safety is just like an AR
-fully ambi with all controls
-trigger actually feels good, like a milspec AR trigger, definitely not extremely light, but feels to be about 5lbs
-the sights audibly click into place when flipping them up and down, weíll see if it cowitnesses

Overall Iím very surprised in a good way. Itís more comfortable than I was expecting and just feels like a tank in a small package. Whatís even more surprising is this thing all in shipped is cheaper than a Scorpion and itís not a more popular firearm.

Iím going to try to get some rounds downrange this weekend, unfortunately the SBA3 brace, brace adapter and 30 round mags are not here yet so Iíll do more follow up after.

All in all Iím very excited for this and I have a feeling this is going to be my gateway gun to more 9mm subguns.

My two friends and I really liked it for only putting 25 rounds through it, canít wait to brace it, the brace has arrived but not the mounting equipment or 30round mags, Iíll post that once they arrive

That's fucking cool. If or when they release the A2 version, I'll probably have to get one.

There’s a lot of products coming out for these now, for example:

So yes this gun is an insane value under $700
If the roller delayed A3 comes out I’m snagging it up no questions asked, or one of their compact models, like the one the US Army is testing

I’ve seen that there’s a non-reciprocating charging handle modnkut there but I’d like to see them bring in a full kit, apparently the new Stribogs they want to import later this year will all have non-reciprocating charging handles, ATF just has to approve first

Ok so I’m very disappointed, I cannot get my arm brace adapter on the gun.

First, the nut to lock the tube on the brace needed to be hammered for it to fit over the SBA3 brace’s tube. Now I can’t even lock the damn adapter into the gun!!! I’m trying to tap it into place but now it’s not moving any further and it’s just taking chunks of plastic off the goddamned adapter! This is Grand Power’s own fucking adapter, what a joke

At least the 30rd mags look good
