You know after 5 more minutes of perusing the SKS forum here, I learned about about the Albanian. I'd heard of them recently but had no idea how different they were.
I WISH I would have known all that years ago!

2nd down is an SKS M, I believe. Short barrel (16 inch), no bayo and monte carlo or thumbhole stock with 18 inch barrel. SKS D had bayonet, 20 inch barrel and normal appearing stock. Nice rifles.

Thank you, Sir.
Yes, I have all the accroutrements except the orig sling.
Had the bright idea to boil it to get the cosmo out.
The idea turned out to be dimwitted actually and I have a sling no more.

Yugo SKS's
Heres a couple of pics of my Yugo M-59/66 A1's, Both are all matching numbers, unissued condition rifles. Two different variations in Rifle Grenade retainers, one is a '81 build the other, a '88 build.

I see all those nice Chi-com's with the pretty blond stocks. Beautiful! A buddy of mine has a Polytech with wood stock in a deep reddish color. Came that way. Can anybody tell me about those?
Oh... here's my Tula...
