For some reason, I was under the impression that they licensed the name like that Kalashnikov USA outfit, and would be making them here. If they are just importing them, the price hike makes even less sense although I'd say the odds of getting a functional gun are higher.

nah, they're actually Zastava (serbian) guns except under Zastava USA as the importer instead of CAI

Does anyone know if they have direct ties to Zastava like the relationship Arsenal USA has with Arsenal in Bulgaria?

Man those prices...

I wish Zastava USA and Atlantic the best of luck but damn they're going to have an uphill battle on at least their pistols at those price points.

The US business is Serb owned so I'd assume they have closer ties than your average importer.

Yes they have direct ties with the Arsenal and the owners are US citizens that moved to the US from Serbia. They also want to listen to the US shooter and continue to expand and improve on your input.

Zastava USA addressed this if you watch the SHOT show video. I am just happy to not have to carve notches into Beretta mags for spares.

Couple things they can do:
-figure out dropping pricing, how was Century able to do it but Zastava US cannot?
-m91 is a start but offering guns this market has not seen yet, like the M21 series in 5.56 and 7.62x39
