Default Needing an RPK built

Hey guys, so I've given up on any RPKs coming back in stock anywhere on the interwebs and have decided I want to get one built. I don't have my workshop built yet and don't have the necessary tools or experience to feel confident in building something I'd be totally happy with. So I've decided I'd like to buy the parts and send it off to someone. My question is, who should I send it to. I'm looking for reputable and experienced builders that know their stuff. It doesn't have to be historically accurate- just solid and functional. Any recommendations are welcome. Thanks!

I have one built already, M72B1 Chrome lined CHF barrel. The price on these things has gone way up the past few months. I have been tempted to sell mine.

I'm more drawn to the Romanian rpk but if you decide to sell it, let me know. I'm never opposed to making deals.

Unless I missed them aND they're out of stock again (which is my luck), I just looked and I can't find them anywhere. Do you know of somewhere that has them in stock?

I just picked up a Romanian rpk matching kit from AOA, gonna have it built by Northwest Gun Supply, he does a great job at a great price. i was originally going to get a BFPU version from Atlantic but they sold out in hours when they finally got them available. The one nice thing about the century's is that they are full romo built including reciever which is nice.

Too bad I can't do any building for others. I did this as my first build it turned out fairly good. I did it years ago from a un-issued kit that still had the original oil paper in the barrel. The kit cost me under $200. (that was years ago)

I sent a rifle to Ken years ago... I was quoted a certain time frame and deadlines passed with spotty communication. "I'm starting on it next week", "It's almost finished", and "I didn't have time last month".... It was for a simple refinish job.

I would recommend Two River Arms. They just finished my RPK-74N, it runs and looks great. Turn around was 4 weeks. They have a facebook with projects and builds. My rifle is on their Facebook on November 29th.

Piece of History Firearms used to do great work too. Mario built my AKS-74u. He dropped off the planet and let his website lapse but came back recently saying he was taking builds on the AKforum. YMMV as I haven't seen any recent remarks about his turn around or build quality after his hiatus.

I had multiple positive experiences with Two Rivers Arms. They put out really nice builds and are very responsive.

I just had two rivers chop a 104UR for me. Fast, responsive, and friendly. I will definitely use them again.

Two river or M13 industries.

TRA I’d assume has a long wait list thow, m13 takes about 3-5 months.

They built my RPK-74M , good to go and price was $425 with custom receiver engravings.

A few weeks ago, I was in the same boat as you. I contacted various builders and was quoted the same prices as I payed to buy a NIB M-72 Yugo off of gunpoker.
It is exactly what I wanted with no frustrations. Keep looking...

I messaged Ken a week ago and havent heard back from him. I talked to him earlier in the year and he said he's getting a little old and wants to take it easy so he might not be accepting work for a while.
