I'm sure most of you have seen this cool as pistol. If not, do a search on "2XTM" and check it out
![]() I e-mailed Rodger, and he will make more of the magwells as soon as he gets enough people. I'm first on the list, so I would like others interested to pm Rodger and ask to be put on the list. Thanks for looking |

FWIW, Curtis is making a dedicated flat to use with the magwell for this conversion.

yeah those are pretty cool but you know what else is extremely cool, the czech skorpion pistol aka the VZ61 pistol. But those drum fed AK pistols are extremely awesome.

I have been corresponding with Rodger directly. I e-mailed and asked him if he would do another batch. After seeing I was serious, and seeing that I had some people committed (see Weaponeer, my user name is panheadchopper) he said he was making more. In my post there, you'll see his actual words from the e-mails.

I think someone is a little concerned, so I think that everyone should contact Rodger themselves. I'll do the same.
I started this post simply because I wanted a magwell. I contacted Rodger to see if he would make more. He said he would if there was enough interest. I decided to start a listing to drum up interest to see if I could get enough people to confirm wanting one. He said he would make more. All I'm doing is maintaining a list, keeping people notified, and giving the courtesy of pm'ing people with any changes, and copying and pasting any e-mails he sends me. you mistake my intent. I did not kmow that you were passing the list of names on to Roger directly. I, like you merely want to be sure that Roger does another run. I APPRECIATE what you are doing and did not mean to offend. Please accept my public apology.....DV....... Last edited by dvanncvann; 05-10-2008 at 09:51 AM. |

I too apologize if my post sounded weird, just wasn't sure how to go about
this, (I'm new to building AND posting and such on forums !) I did e-mail Roger myself, They are GREAT people over at Lichtenberg Research (I called in and ordered one of the 9mm pre-fabbed AK bolts with extractor a little while back , man is that thing AWESOME !!) Anyway, sorry for any misunderstandings (PURELY on my part NOT yours) Jacattak

BTT, Just wondering if anyone followed up on this??? I need another project like a hole in the head, but in looking at all my options at this time, this one seems to fit the bill. Has anyone contacted Roger about making another run, you can add one more (or if it's a numbers game I can buy a few and alway sell what I dont use at some point in time).
As a second thought (and I haven't read all the threads on the other boards yet), If Roger doesn't wish to make these anymore, is there a template that we can print in actual size (or with dimensions) for the magwell parts. If it's the only option, I think a lot of us could fabricate the magwell, but a working model print would make things a bit easier. |

+1, received my magwell around 2 weeks ago and looks very good. I don't know how many extra were made, but thanks vintagemc313 for doing the set up work on the latest group buy and big thanks to Rodger for making them. Still need to decide on a barrel, but will most likely go Uzi due to size constraints on my lathe. Make sure you guys post info on your builds as the progress, it's been good reading so far but I'm still trying to weigh the plus/minus factor of the bolt being mounted forword vs to the rear of the carrier.
Also, I was going to drop the trunion to the back hole and shorten the receiver, but if I do it's only going to leave the s/n on the Nodak receiver. The manufacturer name and address would get cut off-is that leaving me open to any problems? |

I havent begun assembling my parts yet, but figure uzi barrels the way to go. Theres a dude on GB selling 10.5" barrels around 32 bucks, looks great for chopping to make a pistol or attatching a cool muzzel device to make a rifle. 6500rpm, akbuilder has a dedicated flat, that may be a cheaper/ fically safer rout to go then cutting a nodak. Or I think Steve built his first couple off tapco flats, but dont quote me. I was thinking about the bolt forward/rearward too, in my head it seems like it may be more stable on the rails with the bolt welded forward. You should check with Steve if you have any questions or Rodger himself. 6500, what are you doing for bolt and carrier, 47 or 74?

Rodgers Email -rodgerlichtenberg@comcast.net
lextech-the receiver's a done deal (as in, I have it and did the cut out and the magwell's sitting in it). Just need to decide on the drop back or not. I picked up a no barrel Tantal kit for $225 to use for the build. Figured, all the parts I need are there and most Romy's are sitting at two bills right now, so why not. Mine's going to be a carbine Pic is a mock up. I cut and welded an AMD to an old US flash hider and turned it in the lathe to get it up to 4 1/4" and buy me some play room on a barrel choice. Thats looking good 6500. All I have at the moment is drums, and a bunch of spare flats and rommys. Im hoping to do a carbine and pistola. 4.5" is just an inch too short for those cheap uzi barrels, mabey a suomi barrel, I think they are 11 or 11.5 inches.

Did the email bounce back, or just no reply yet. If the later, be patient as it might take a few days. Link I provided is recent and should be good.
